Here are the differences in Win7 versions (editions).

Are You Sure you want to go backward to Time Limited RC for JUST "Bit Locker" and 34 Foreign Languages ??
---
Truecyrpt is a FREE program that does what "Bit Locker" does if I'm not mistaken.

Rick,

The rc version was Windows Ultimate 64-bit Why after I followed the instructions to make a upgrade did it become a professional version and is the version 64-bit ? . Will the serial number transform the basic Windows 7 into the version one wants ?

"Pre-release in-place upgrades across milestones (for example, Windows 7 RC to Windows 7 RTM)
are not supported."
NOTE: This information is in dispute.

Need to know EXACTLY what MS Product Sku you ordered and what you did.

I have version 7100 RC 64-bit Windows 7. I followed instructions in Howtogeek to make it into a regular version. The final dvd was the Professional version not the Ultimate version that I was playing with. What caused it to change from Ultimate to Professional ?

Not sure why the Ultimate Edition down graded BUT the following info was NOT included in that Howto.
The [ ei.cfg file ] is the secret according to what original ISO DVD you have.
