Just followed the advice given in a previous article ("How to Upgrade the W7 RC to RTM Final Release") and it worked PERFECTLY!
What a godsend ... rather than having to re-install all my programs, by just importing the W7 DVD to my hard drive and changing one line suggested in that article, I was able to install W7 and every program, driver, etc. works perfectly. Even my desktop is identical.

I know the post is three months old, but with March approaching I figured it was time for me to activate me legal copy of Win7 RTM. When attempting to upgrade my computer, seemingly, hangs at the "gathering files" part of the upgrade (I am not completely sure what "hang" constitutes, but the computer is responsive the entire time). I read online that some Vista upgrades take as long as 20hours. Should I wait it out, is their something else I can do, or will i need a clean install?
