I dont have to absolutely install without doing a clean install. If not, could i still move my ram to the new mobo? What else does everyone reccomend in that case? How do i go about doing a clean install without having to buy win7 again?

That will depend how well you can sell your story to the Microsoft activation center.

Normally, when you do a clean install on the SAME mobo, you activate with the product key that is on the COA sticker (which is somewhere on your box). That may even work with a new mobo too - may ??? If it does not work, you have to call MS and they will activate or not depending how well you can sell your story.
