I am constantly receiving a "popup" that states that there are "New Features" for Windows 8. My system is Windows 7 and Explorer is labeled as "Windows I.E. 8". These are apparently NOT security updates, but program updates. I do install "most, if not all" security updates. My question is that since I am totally happy with what I have, how can I shut down the "popups"?

I would be suspicious of those popups, especially since they aren't coming from Microsoft Updates.
You could run this and see what it finds.
