Hi urchin. Welcome to HTG. You are embarking on a long and (sometimes) dangerous journey.
"The Registry", controls how your system looks, and works.
To reap the full benefits, you will need to learn about things like CLSIDS, dissecting and editing .dlls, and other nefarious monsters that lurk within it.
Any questions so far ?

Hi Urchin
The best way to deal with the Registry is
If you don't know anything about it don't fiddle with it
If it ain't broken don't try to repair it
If you have problems with something you think is to do with the Registry
post your problem to the appropriate forum and then wait while someone here can guide you through it step by step as it can be a minefield
If you still can't follow the instructions given by forum members get it sorted by your local PC shop to save doing further damage to the PC

Hope that helped

Hi LH

Well It needs someone who knows about the Registry to help him through it stage by stage
Unless they do a Course at a Learning Centre that the local council runs for Free that is in the UK I'm on about or the local Libraries run these courses also
