i reformatted a dell mini v10 to sell. i reinstalled xp and then the dell resource cd. when i try to install the drivers i'll get a box to select where i want to unzip the file to (C:dell\drivers\Rxxxxxx) and click O.K. do you want to create it (YES) then i get a box "Unable to create folder 'C:\dell\drivers\Rxxxxxx.
what do i need to do to get the zip files to extract? none will open.

USER ERROR! completely my fault for not paying attention. upon reinstalling xp the netbook keyboard was disabled, i attached an external keyboard to press f8 to agree to the terms. xp recognized the keyboard as drive C:, the external dvd as drive D: and the hard drive as drive E: the driver packages wanted to install on the external keyboard C: instead of the hard drive E:
i'm reinstalling xp, but i've unplugged the external keyboard after accepting the terms (f8) C: drive is recognized as the o/s destination now.
isn't this about the third time i've answered my own threads? :P
