Hi, I have Ubuntu 11.04 on my netbook installed inside windows and I want to upgrade it to 12.04
The upgrade manager shows that I can upgrade to Ubuntu 11.10
Can I upgrade it directly to 12.04 without upgrading to 11.10 ?
And If I upgrade, will I be able to use windows or it'll be crashed ?

Thanks in advance.

What does this mean: " installed inside windows " - are you running it in a virtual partition under Windows.

@whs: When wubi starts it shows three options the first is "Demo and full installation" the second is "Install inside Windows" the third is "Learn more".
the second option is what I meant by installed inside windows.

You cannot do it in one step. You will need to upgrade to 11.10, then run upgrade to 12.04, or remove and do a new clean install with wubi.
Just to check this info I went to this thread at AskUbuntu.com with your same issue. You can only skip releases from one LTS (long term support) release to another LTS, 12.04 is LTS - 11.04 is not (previous LTS was 10.04).

Wubi should not give you a problem when upgrading. It is just an application. Make images (or at least restore points) before upgrading. Then you can always set back in case something unusual happens.
