I tryed to install Ubuntu using Wubi as per your instructions and it failed to complete the installation.
I spent 2 mornings trying to install it and failed both times.
I am not sure what is happening.
Do i need to disable my firewall?
When it asked permission to change files on my computer i gave permission.
Somebody.......Help!

I used a .iso file that I downloaded and burned to a CD...got it from the link on Ubuntu's site and it autoran when I inserted it. You also have the option to preview without installing. Also make sure when you run the program (or any program, pretty much) that you right click and "Run as administrator".

I didn't use Wubi, but did have Ubuntu on my Emachines D525 laptop as a dual-boot with Win7. I took it off and put it as the only OS on my crashed XP computer.
