I have just come across this useful looking utility. I want to reset a friends password and there is no other pwd access into that PC. If I make a boot CD from this utility on my machine (using my windows CD - XP Pro) can it be used on another XP Pro, Vista machine or is it no use to use elswhere?

I have just burnt the iso image to a cd. Tried booting from it and windows says it is not a bootlable CD. What have I done wrong?

Did you get any errors when you ran the builder? What did you use to burn the ISO image? If you burn the .iso file to a data disc, that won't work. It has to be a disc image burn.

As for the CD booting, it will boot on any PC since it contains it's own OS. It doesn't matter what OS is installed on the hard drive when you are booting from the CD.

Thanks, I discovered Norton had refused access during run. I uninstalled and started again with norton off and now have a useable boot CD.
