what do you guys think would be a better setup xp, vista, and ubuntu. or just xp and vista. or just ubuntu and vista? any suggestions and/or comments will be accepted. the future of my reinstall depends on you so make the right choice. :) jk

The XP/Vista choice in part depends on your hardware specs. What CPU, Graphics Card and RAM do you have?

i have a p4 3.0 GHZ proc. 2GB's ram ddr2 and an 8600 gt 256MB video card

I think that my specs should be good enough to run vista

Yep, it should be. I say install Vista for sure. I'm not sure about XP or Ubuntu. It depends on what you want to do and what you need. If you want to play around with a Linux system install Ubuntu. If you need XP to run older programs or something install it.

Whs told me to run wubi because its like a program, so you dont need to install it like an OS

well i do play some games so i might like it for that or if i am having troubles with vista or have some project to get done and it isn't working right i have some thing to fall back on and for compatibility issues
