I've been reading for hours. I tried to install the printer software, message came up that everything passed, except it cannot continue the install with out admin privileges.
Went to the control panel and turned off the UAC settings in the user accounts, rebooted, and it still says the same thing. I also opened up the folder on the disk, right clicked on the setup.exe and clicked on Run as Admin. I checked Microsoft's website and the HP Photosmart 7760 is compatable with Vista.
Any other suggestions?
Thank you.

Try in Safe Mode?

This printer should work in Vista, drivers here: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfr.....38;lang=en
