I am running the 32-bit Version of Windows 7 Beta. I know beta's aren't perfect but I would at least to be able to have my sound working properly. The driver[Intel® 82801DB/DBM AC '97 Audio Controller] is installed on my computer and says it is working properly. There no update for the driver since I have tried that already. I am dual booting with Windows XP as my other option and the sound works perfectly there.
**I guess it would help to tell you guys that I am using a Dell Dimension 2400 as well.**

PLEASE HELP ME SOLVE THIS PROBLEM MY FELLOW GEEKS!

p.s.-included is a picture of the device manager with the "Other Devicecs" and "Sound" drivers expanded.

TechStudent,
If I remember correctly when I ran Win7, had the same problem.

I Updated the Sound Driver in Device Manager by pointing the update to a copy of the AC Sound Driver Set for the MB which I had located on another HD.

This Update could be accomplished by pointing to the AC Sound Driver Set for the MB located on a CD or USB Stick I would think if you don't have multiple HDs.
