just got a new sony vaio computer with Vista. What happens when I RIGHT click on an Icon on the bottom bar, or if I right click on some windows that I have open on the bottom bar to hit CLOSE....I can not see my options unles I move my mouse over the invisible box,,,then the options appear. I dont want them to be invisible I want them to pop up right away....

The guy at SONY told me my computer is corrupted....I have had it 3 days.

Installed Office 2003 and SpywareBot as a virus protector

ANY SUGGESTIONS...thanks

Hello dmiles,

Try to right click on the taskbar when you see it, click on 'properties' and uncheck 'auto-hide the taskbar'. By hovering your mouse over the edge you can resize it or even move it to either the right or left side of your screen.

Are you sure you've installed 'SpywareBot' and not Spybot Search & Destroy'? There are many ripoffs of the latter, Just making sure.

And while you're at it, make sure Windows Firewall is on and you run other malware scans regularly (AdAware, Advanced WindowsCare and the like).

Ah, I see it's the menu that doesn't appear for you. Let me look into that further.

Yes, I'm pretty sure you downloaded the wrong software. Please read this: http://forums.techguy.org/malw.....rebot.html
