The reason people post their non-Vista problems under the 'Windows Vista' category is THIS:

And so, mods have a hard time moving all such threads to the correct category...

Oops... My apologies. I also posted it under Vista :) Please move to OT !!

I'm pretty sure we all do a good job but we can't be 24/7 because, due to the decline in the economy, overtime and overnight sleepins have now been put on hold.
I still have the scars. But I will battle it (yea, that's gonna happen!)
But the bloody good thing is we have a grand membership of experienced people standing by, mod or otherwise....and that is what makes HTG great

Thus, we rely on the rest of the world to help with members requests.

Hats off to you all :)
But perhaps I failed to convey the point. Can't the default "Pick a selection" field be changed to "Choose one" instead of "Windows Vista", so that a member would be unable to post a topic without selecting an appropriate category? You might have seen such fields at several websites...

Yep, if left BLANK and coded right, an Alert would pop up saying, "No Category Entered"
when Send Post Button was entered.

Sounds good. I will move this to Site Suggestions, and throw it at The Geek (when he's around :)
