The BIOS not seeing it, and MHDD.EXE says 'ATA password'

I also have a Fujitsu SATA laptop HD, Model: MHV2060BH.

The BIOS is not seeing it, and MHDD.EXE says 'ATA password'.

FJDT.EXE ( Fujitsu diagnostics ) says drive OK.

Fujitsi deny it, but some data recovery firms say there is a problem with some Fujitsu HDs dropping out of sight of the Bios, extended character gibberish in the volume label under FDISK, and an ATA password when not set.

The drive is formatted, has no data of any value, and it seems silly to throw away a perfect drive if I can find a program to clear the ATA password problem.

Any ideas?
