@Geek, they were plain, came in nearly a dozen colors and in S, M, L, XL. We used a lot for the Elks. Made logos for the back and names for the front and printed them on special paper and transfered that with an iron. Used Word and Gimp - worked well.
@whs doesn't that printing paper cost a bit of money cuz when i went to get some one time it seemed pretty spendy but maybe it went down now cuz that was like a year or two ago?
The paper was not really expensive either. The ladies got that from Michaels too on sale and with a 50% off coupon. So I don't think it was much. I did not do the accounting and the lady that would know is on a cruise. So I do not have very exact figures. Just the price of the shirts I remember.
Here is a name tag for the kitchen crew.
@TheGeek, have you ever looked at Cafe Press? While they are a bit pricey, the nice thing is that you do not actually buy any stock, and therefore do not have to worry about inventory. They are a print-on-demand for all of their items and all you need to do is upload images, pick the items to put them on, and then set your markup (and even setting the markup is optional). And yes, the do ship international.
I have looked at them briefly before... the print options seemed a bit limited, but I'll probably end up using them or one of the other similar ones. Would just have to be limited quantity.
