Over at gHacks.net today, Martin Brinkmann has written an article concerning the dangers of one's system being left exposed and unprotected from the "Bad Guys" on the internet.
One of the methods those bad guys use is via the Unplug & Play (UPnP) through your router.
The article explains the problems, and also provides a link to one of the best security sites on the web - Gibson Research - which has a page called "Shields Up" where you can have the security of your router safely tested and reported back to you.
I took the test and received a 100% passing grade for security.
