Testing code tag HTML:

<

Testing code tag bbCode: Test
If those both work then the code tag problem should be gone.
Edit: Yep, it works. Though only for bbCode.

It does indeed work now.
Which is no suprise as a reply from The Geek at about 9:30 AM to my email about the problem said he fixed the problem. Just double checking.

@raphoenix: What do you mean by "Brought site down."?

From an E-mail I sent to another member Sunday afternoon as HTG site was erratically responding.
-----------------------------
I got one reconnect in which the typing input box had (14) Small Grey Buttons across the top each labeled with a command for the bbcode input which may be used in the input box.
IE: blockquote, br, code, em, strong, ul, ol, li, img, font strike, center, u, hr.
-----------------------------
It was really cool - should have made a screen shot because page froze and the next reconnect attempt went back to normal with only (2) Small Grey buttons labeled link and image on top of input box.
-----------------------------
Darn !!! I wish I had made the screen shot !!!! because no one will ever believe me but it is just the way I would setup the input box if were I were going to program one !!!!!!!!!
-----------------------------
Sorry JD.
Thought you may have been helping re-program site as I notice you have been testing bbCode lately as I do from time to time.

No, I wasn't helping re-program the site.
I was helping find the problem with backticks though.
I looked on the bbPress forums, found out the plugin that caused the problem and emailed The Geek about it.
I was just posting yesterday to be sure the problem was still there and today to double check that the problem was fixed.

jd2066,

Very interesting.
At a later time you might consider telling us what the backtick problem was.
You know this summer, we all had a big discussion concerning the issue.
You have my E-mail address and your mails are always welcome.
Kindest Regards,
Rick P.

The problem with the backticks was when using them, the text inside them would turn into junk.
Appearently the problem was that the "Allow Images" bbPress plugin contained code that messed up the contents of the backticks.
Both me and The Geek have no idea why the "Allow Images" plugin was messing with backticks and the code tag.

Yep, remember the backtick discussions well.
That is when I started using a (mixture) of < img src=path /> Conventions plus bbcode Brackets to post images and text.

Definitely a big thanks to JD for figuring out the cause of the backticks issue =)
