hi ben,

just positiion your cursor on the top edges of the taskbar until the cursor changes to 2 arrows (1 arrow up and 1 arrow down). and make sure that the taskbar is not locked (right-click the task bar > make sure the 'Lock the taskbar' is not selected).

if you unlock the taskbar you can position it on any side of the screen, also. i prefer mine at the top.

and if you really want to get fancy... right click>>>properties, and then customize it to the fullest :O

im sure most people know that, but it sounded like some dont...

i like mine
-on the bottom with 2 bars
Taskbar Tab
-autohide
-keep the taskbar on top of other windows
-group similar tasbar buttons
-show quicklaunch
-show window preview (thumbnails)
Toolbars Tab
-address
-quick launch
-windows media player

then i put the quick launch and the address bar on the bottom half, and i have my webpages on the top half... then i add my most used websites/programs in the quicklaunch section... like, word document, fox news, hotmail, youtube, HTG, (solitare >.> ) google, ect...

i also speak some japanese, so i have a need for the IME bar, so i add that to the top right part of the taskbar... (but that doesnt come standerd... so you wont have that option)

Theres my personal recomended settings (not like yall care... lol)
