in windows 7 you can choose to combine and hide the labels of the programs on your taskbar or you can never combine them, is there a way to never combine them and hide the levels?

I don't know of a way to do this. It appears that the design is either to use a Windows 7 style taskbar or Vista style.

Also, I'm not sure how useful it would be. If you never combine and hide labels, you would have a bunch of identical taskbar icons, one for each window or tab, with no easy way to distinguish them. I usually have a dozen or more browser tabs open at once. With IE, that would mean a dozen or so identical icons with no way to tell them apart other than hovering over each one. With Aero Peek, I can hover over the one stacked icon and see all of those tabs as thumbnails with labels.
