If my acer aspire 5100 is in sleep mode, will a scheduled task get run or will it only run when i start the computer, or will it not run at all. If it will run does the computer turn on run it and then turn off, do I have to set up the times, I mean there is a million programs running it seems inside the task s. so be specific if you can ...thankyou it seems my interest in computers never ceases i get one question answered and that leads me to another, i can't believe how much i've learned in the last 3 months since i bought my first home computer. No hackers eh...lol

By default a Scheduled Task will not run if the computer is turned off or in Sleep mode.
If you want to you can make a Scheduled Take wake up the computer when the task is set to run so it does run.
