System Restore issue

I was doing a system restore to factory defaults then when the system restore was starting up it receieved an error of can't start windows hit ok and restart installation. I have restarted the installation up to 10 times now and I get the same error. Please help

Are you referring system recovery, a complete reinstal of the OS? Internal recovery or from disks you made?

What is the make and model of your machine

My laptop is an Acer Aspire 5349-2592. I'm referring to system recovery.

Are you able to boot into windows at all, even safe mode?

You can do it in windows; http://www.ehow.com/how_447884.....tings.html

Or restart the machine and press the alt and f10 buttons at same time and follow the prompts

I'm not able to get into windows even with safe mode so I did the alt f10. I'll let you know how it goes

Is your system still under warranty? If so you might call Acer and tell them the recovery partition image is corrupt.
Have you burned your recovery image to disks or are you just trying to recover the image from the recovery partition?

Did you read everything in the link Mike posted in his reply above. Look in the Tips section and read that
