system recovery options windows vista

Dear Scott
I desperately need your help
my computer is failing to start up so i went through the system recovery options where i selected the command prompt
where i entered
x:Windows/system32>chkdsk/F c:
and i followed the steps i saw in a earlier post and at the end of the disk check this is what came up after

failed to transfer logged messages to the event log with status 50
x:/windows/system32>RvvV
RvvV is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file

x:windows/system32>vv
vv is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file

x:/windows/system32>
x:/windows/system32>vvv
vvv is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file

x:/windows/system32>

what else should i do after that command
