I was playing a train simulation on my PC when my screen froze and then it went black and then a series of white lines appeared, the computer then rebooted. On checking the event viewer the following error message was displayed in the system log:-
Component:- AMD Northbridge.
Error source code:- Machine Check Exception.
Error type:- Hyper Transport Watch Dog Timeout Error.

I have the most up-to-date driver installed for my Radeon 4850 graphics card. I checked the application log but there was no error codes listed there. I checked on google and this could indicate a motherboard problem. If anyone has any more information or has experienced this problem any info would be very welcome. I am running Windows 7 64bit with 4GB of DDR3 RAM and an AMD PhenomII quad core 3.2GHZ cpu.
