Sorry to bring this up (quite a controversial topic at this time, and perhaps very frightening I know - hence apologies)
but some of you may be interested in this Live Map of H1N1 Swine Flu - updated with all the fatal and non-fatal/confirmed and non-confirmed reported cases

Anybody else got any information?
The Wikipedia article relating to the recent events is pretty good too

Mods - feel free to remove this if you feel it necessary, I don't want to offend/alarm anyone, although I guess it is pretty well widespread knowledge anyway

It's not just me who may not be taking this totally seriously then...

This doesn't quite work with the word blocked out, but you probably get the drift?

Aleeve. All healthy viruses mutate. And all are capable of transferring between species (given enough time (to mutate)).

36,000 Americans die from flu or flu complications each year. What makes this any worse? News people running around acting nuts when we really don't know what's going to happen! Weren't we all suppose to die from bird flu and mad cow disease a few years back? Be prepared and take precautions, don't go over the edge!

Aleeve. Those masks, if home made, could actually increase the possibility of infection, over standard masks.

Why is that? Damaging the plastic of the masks?

If they are using anything that has solvents in it, yes.
Even without solvents could have a similar effect.

Oh I see

Constant inhalation of potentially more dangerous substances can't be good can it
