If you want to clean up your Mac the easy way, CleanMyMac is a great tool to get the job done easily, and it will even keep your computer clean automatically.

Unlike the competition, it also includes great tools like a Clean Uninstaller, to get rid of applications and clean up the junk that they leave behind. All with the click of a button.

I just read the article "What Is svchost.exe And Why Is It Running," and I understand much better now what svchost.exe is. My computer often runs pretty slowly and occasionally has pretty high CPU usage, so I'm hoping that if I disable some unnecessary services, it'll speed up a bit. But how do I determine which services I don't need? I don't know much about computers so I'd really appreciate simple answers. Thanks!

Might want to try SVCHOST PROCESS ANALYZER, it works, and you might need to understand what it shows you, some of its 'recommendations' I don't agree with. Also suggests you try the 'security' program which you purchase.

I run it a few times a year, never found anything to worry about.
