Suggestion for the login system of HTG

Every time i come to a topic and read it.But after log in,the browser takes me to the forum homepage.I need to find the previous topic i was reading.
I like this site and hope it works better.

A workaround would be to use the History feature of your browser which is just for that purpose. What you're suggesting is probably impossible for the HowToGeek site to do unless they tie up the user's last opened page with the user's profile info and then use redirection every time the user logs in. That may not, however, be the preference of all the users. But yea, an option might be given. But almost no other site does that.

Some browsers also offer a drop down menu of previously visited pages when you start typing a few characters in the address or search bar. If your browser has this functionality, just type this:

howtogeek.com/forum/topic/

and you'll see a menu with the pages on the forum you've visited. You can then choose the desired page.

I don't have that problem using Firefox. It remembers which page I was on, an opens to it.
