Any suggested sites to find new free icons that will work in Vista? How do you install them after finding the site?

Hi Catknox,

There are a lot of sites with Vista Icons, just google for it and you'll have all to your hearts content:)
Some are:
http://www.vistaicons.com/

http://www.iconshock.com/vista-icons.php

http://www.iconarchive.com/

When you've downloaded some zips, unzip and check if their extension is .ico or that they are png.
Ico files you can just place in a folder of your choice, they're ready for use.

Png files you will have to convert to ico.
There is a beautiful and free iconeditor available here: http://icofx.ro/

Read the tutorials to know all about it ánd if you visit the forum you will find some more tutorials.
It is really worth it reading them.

I hope this get's you started:)
Sarah.

Don't forget Deviantart.com.

And that icofx program is brilliant BTW. I make a lot of icons using that and The GIMP.
