Hi tonyreg, and welocme to HTG community.
And about your question, if your movie is .avi or something you can open it with Windows Media Player, and enable subtitles(right-click on video and you can see the option Lyrics,caption,subtitles the put On if available). And also make sure you got the movie and the .srt file on a folder, i mean in the same location both.
