Is there a way to stop connectifyservice.exe and connectifyid.exe from starting automatically with windows? I have looked in msconfig and services.msc and still cant stop them from automatically loading.

I'm sorry i don't know what a PCPitstop file is. Would you mind explaining it?

Sounds like some kind of System Cleaner tool, or Maintenance Tool. You dont need things like that, so it wouldn't hurt to get rid of it. Check for it in Control Panel -> Add/Remove programs, and remove it if you can.

I just checked the Website of PC Pitstop, and I personally would never install such a product. No Extra Software will make Windows go faster except more CPU cycles, more RAM, and faster Hard Disks.

Cheers,

go to msconfig, go to startup and disable these items from the startup menu, also look in services for traces of these processes.

msconfig = windows button +r..... then type msconfig....and enter.

HI

I googled that file and it seemed to be associated with PCPitstop... a system tuner/cleaner etc. I've also found there's a program called Connectify which turns your PC into a wifi hotspot..is it one these apps?
