In vista this use to go to where my user profile is located c:\users\me (me being my user name). In Windows 7 it goes to the libraries folder just like the win +e shortcut and the explorer shortcut under acessories. However those have fixes. I want to know if anyone has found or hacked the registery to set it back to the user folder. I did find out that the switch in the registery still refers to showusers like vista but it points to the libraries folder.
Thanks

Start menu user name button question
(2 posts)Thus far, I haven't found a way either but I did find a way that works ok for now.
Just add the folders you need to the Favorites section on the left of Windows Explorer by right-clicking on the header for Favorites and select "Add Browser Location" and/or just use the libraries.
You can just set a library to only display the contents of one folder so it isn't really much different then viewing the folder normally.
