start menu pic slot empty

I've been having issues with my folders now the picture option in the start menu is empty shows no properties the pic folder is in a different area under my files how do i add them to the pic slot in the start menu

Right click on pictures in the start menu
Select properties > location
and put in the path to them

Thats the thing theres nothing in the properties everything is blank and no options

Whs was helping me last night and everything was fine this morning pics were gone and no properties check out the topic that says 4 folders in one that was last night

Did you move the whole original pictures folder th the new location, or just create a new one?

I moved it to the new location and it was fine when i turned my system up this morning it was gone and there were other things out of place

lighthouse i went into my personal folder were the pics were at and i opened the slot were it says folder path and i checked C:\users\ulyses\pictures. The pics are back in the pic slot in the start menu but they don't show up in the control panel under change desk top. how do i make them show up there?

Right click on any of your pictures > Set as Desktop Background.
PS. I just logged on. Sorry to hear that things fell apart again.

If only you'd said desktop background
I thought you were trying to change a virtual desktop.
Or put a pic folder onto the desktop

@ulyy1, when you started you PC this morning, was it completely shut off over night or was it sitting in sleep mode over night. It is not normal that everything got scrambled when you turn the PC on. I suspect one of your start-up programs to make the mess - but we'll have to make a few tests before we know.

Ok, for a first test type MSCONFIG into the Start Search > Click on msconfig above > when the msconfig window is up, make sure you are in "General" > uncheck "load startup items" under "selective startup" > Apply > OK and restart your system and see whether things are OK or whether there is a mess again. If "selective startup" is not the option that was your default, come back and tell me what is default.
