OK! I give up, how do you make your Avatar spin?

I love the way raphonex's Avatar rotates I have it modelled in 3D Studio and animated to do one rotation but cant' make it loop. I can create the preview and everything. I can even put it on my web site as a 'flv' file, but cant' make it loop can make it play but not loop. How do you do it or is it somthing I should know?

Forgive me for asking.

Regards

NS

nstreeter,
---
Glad you like the Avatar.
---
The image is Not copyrighted but has been commonly associated with my Family Name, Websites and Commercial Assets once owned for many, many years now.
---
Of course you are welcome to use the image but I ask that you do so in Good Taste as it monikers our top level domain country (US) website presence also.
---
Best Regards and Thanks,
Rick P. :)

Hi Richard

Honour to make your acquaintance. Your offer is to generous I cannot possibly accept but a very nice thought.
I still think it's great, but how did you get it to rotate?

Regards

Rick. I think he wants his own Avatar to rotate. Not copy yours.

Nice to meet you also !! :)

This article by Joe Burns will explain a bit about Animated GIFs.
http://www.htmlgoodies.com/tut.....hp/3479881
---
There are Paid and some Free Programs that will enable you to make Animated Gifs.
---
Also, there are Free Websites that will allow you to upload an Animated Gif file and change its properties such as its size and then download the changed file.
---
One of our Moderators, <SarahJames>, posted a Free Animated GIF Program I think? last year if memory serves me.
---
Post a New topic "Need FREE Animated Gif Program" and I'm sure other members will post several good suggestions including <SarahJames>.
===============
By the way, if you loaded up an Animated Gif on HTG for your Avatar, BE SURE to read the instructions carefully as there are size limits that have to be maintained for it to move around properly.
--
1. The following image formats are allowed: gif, .........
2. File names may not contain the following special characters: # ? & % " | ' * `
3. File size must be no greater than 1024KB
4. Image dimensions greater than 50 x 50 pixels will be resized automatically.
(ADDED - WILL NOT ANIMATE OR WORK IF DOES NOT MEET ALL OF ABOVE SPECS)
===============
Regards,
Rick P.

Hi Nstreeter,

Rick is right:)

One of the best programs I've come across is AnimationShop that used to come with Paintshop Pro, but is still available from this link.

In AnimationShop you can choose the option to play one time or loop, so that should get you going.
If not, post the file and I'll see what I can do for you:)

Cheers,
Sarah.

LOL - Nigel:)

I found another one that's shareware, but the first 20 tries are free - looks like it has some nice features too:
EasyGifAnimator

Enjoy!

Edit: I seemed to remember there was a freeware version too. Took a bit of looking, but found it: the lite version is free.
