In the "FF search bar" top right, left click the search icon and then select "manage search engines". Click "speedbit" then click "remove" and then ok.

Hi lvct

Thank you for your help. Unfortunately it didn't work. I did as you suggested, but SpeedBit was not on the "manage search engines" list. So it's still in control of Firefox address bar.

Regards

Left click the "firefox search box" icon. In your case it should be a speedbit icon. In the dropdown menu left click the "search engine" that you want to use. That search engine will now replace speedbit and the appropriate icon will be displayed.

Hi,

Here is SpeedBit Support.

You may use the Browser Defaults Restore Utility available at http://www.speedbit.com/faq/#faq32 This utility will automatically restore all your browser's default settings, including your default search and homepage. Please close all open browser windows before running the utility."

Or

1. Navigate to about:config in the address box of FireFox.

2. In the Filter box type keyword.URL.

3. Right click on the keyword.URL line and choose Reset.

Regards.
