I have a 4 year old HP Pavillion DV5000 laptop with a partitioned HD running Windows XP SP3 on the C drive partition and windows 7 ultimate 64bit on the partitioned E drive. Everything on the win 7 side runs smoothly except the sound, the onboard sound card is a realtek AC'97 audio but Win 7 does not recognise the card and states that "No audio device installed" I have tried various driver download sites, including the HP site, all with no success. I would appreciate any help or idea's than anyone may have to resolve this problem.
