sOMEONE DELETED MY INSTALLER

I CANNOT DOWLOAD ANYTHING, I HAVE UPDATES WAITING. WHEN I LOOK IN MY SYSTEM, I CAN'T FIND ANY INSTALLER. HOW DO I GET MY INSTALLER BACK SO I CAN DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL UPDATES? PLEASE HELP!!!!

Please be specific about what happens when you try to download something which does not download. What browser, etc.

Also describe what happens when you click in a file to install. Messages?

What is the file type of the programs out are trying to "install".

start menu > all programs > "windows update"

if you mean that suddenly its not there, you can right click it and select to add to start menu.

this is the message when trying to install updates:

Service pack installation cannot continue. One or more system componets that the service pack requires are missing.

does it list or mention the "components"?
does it mention some kind of error? "error ? "

I am back. Hope everyone had a great holiday. My computer still won't install lupdates. I get these code messages: Code 641 and Code 800FOA13. Really frustrating. I can't even open e-mail attachements.
