had no idea how to word the description for this thread so let me explain ..

what id like to know is, if theres a way to receive an email / or an alert when a website [of your choice] publishes an article of some kind related to a topic that you are interested in reading about. guessing by way of some kind of filter ???

i notice i miss alot of stuff cause i simply dont make it to my favorite sites sometimes. and alot of times it might be overlooked when theyre publishing numerous articles in a day, so was wondering if something like what i described is possible, i wouldnt need to skim through a bunch of stuff to find something but rather it would show up in my inbox.

thanks.

I still think Google Reader (RSS) is the best option.
Set it and forget it.

Johnny, I can send you my .opml file, the only thing you really need to get started.
You can whittle it down to the feeds you like, deleting sports and other stuff you have no need for.
