Hi,I was viewing the previous post on loss of sample pictures, and was wondering about how the illustrated pages were applied to the post.Would this be by the use of Vista's snipping tool?I have the tool, and is there a way to move it to the task bar?

Vista's snipping tool and how to move it to the task bar?

Taskbar?

You could drag it onto your quick launch bar, OR if you want it to hand easily... why not create a keyboard shortcut for it?

Hope this helps

Hi sparky, You actually need 2 snipping tools. The standard Vista snipping tool and then I use "Fast Stone Capture" ($20 for a lifetime license) for the annotations - but there are other ones too. Then I assemble the snips in a Word document and snip them again - always in PNG format for minimal bitloss. To get the snips into the Forum, I use Photobucket for uploading. For some snips you have to make screenshots first, so that you don't loose things by clicking. The post you referred to takes about 1 hour to make - so you have to have patience.

Hi whs,you always seem to deliver very good input, thank you.I didn't realize there was so much involved.I'll have to look into it,now as far as posting links,is the procedure easier?Take care.

For links it's very simple. You "copy" the URL and "paste" it into the "Reply" text box. When you paste it into the reply box, it first does not look like a link, but it will once you actually post it.

sparky, I am sure you know a lot of things that we are not familiar with. Don't hesitate to share your knowledge if you see a friend in trouble on something where you think you can help.

@sparky, Well, I heard some people talking just the other day, I can't tell you why, but we'll find out in the long run. Take it easy, take it easy because the GEEKS don't want no freaks.
