Hi, do you know of any smallish mp3 player for windows?

I have mp3's (lecture recordings) that I don't want to import in my music manager. So I'm looking for a lightweight mp3 player, let's call it "mp3preview" which offers one single function: playback a single file. Nothing more, nothing less. Even volume control is optional ...

Try this: www.oldversion.com

You can find old version software that might suit your needs. FYI, if you use winamp version 0.2 it's only 200kb in download size, and it's very good for standard mp3 files

Try foobar2000. It's tiny, but useful. http://www.foobar2000.org/ It's only complicated if you add skins or interfaces, which are completely optional.

Guys, there all are big fat music managers ...

I found this smallish app http://www.geocities.com/casablanca2000in/msp/ (in the lower right corner) which is 32KB (!!!) and plays mp3s and wavs - totally enough.
Drawback - you always have to open the tool and then open the mp3 by the 'open' dialog.

Personally I use MediaMonkey Gold - one of the FatzBoyz of Mp3 player and organizer and for me, an absolute must!

I have not used it, but seen it work in a friend's machine: TrayPlay

Might help!
