I've recently been reading the quick help guides on Windows Vista, and found a much needed tip: How to make icons smaller in explorer. Which is great, but can I possibly make the icons on the desktop smaller as well? I tried the same trick and it didn't seem to work.
thanks guys!

Smaller Icons on desktop
(4 posts)Are you talking about the scroll wheel trick? You have to click on the desktop first, and then use ctrl+scroll to make them smaller.
You can also right-click on the background and choose Classic icons, which will make them small as well.
Personally, I completely disable the desktop icons, and just use them from a desktop toolbar on the start menu.
