slower touchpad???help!!!!!!!!

i re-installed my os (windows vista) because my laptop needed to be reformat...
after the installation...i observed that my touch pad became slower than before....

i already installed Synaptics but its still the same...

help!!!!!!!!!!!

i own a Compaq Presario CQ40
