How can I get rid of Skype modification of every phone number that shows up on my screen. I'm sure that it's a registry entry that comes with their application causing this. I don't like the little flag and grey background, and change of font that it causes.

If your using firefox it means you have the skype extension installed.
You may access the options by left clicking the skype icon.

Then choose to show names and or numbers or uninstall the addon.

Turning off the Skype add-ons in IE8 did the trick. Thanks, ispalten!!
