SiteRanker ??

I have just noticed SiteRanker on my PC where it says Show Hidden Icons down in the taskbar and I have NO idea how it got there! Should I use REVO Uninstaller and get rid of it or is it safe?

Hi Janie ,

It is usually safe but malware could crop up anywhere, if you don't use it then you can use Revo to uninstall it.

This is not the same subject but I just wanted to ask something. I have gotten a couple of emails that looks like they are from my anti-virus program, avast! In the subject line it says - avast! heuristic - WARNING! Does anyone know what this would be about??? I've not opened the email cause I am not sure if it's really from avast!

If it's an email that just came about for no reason then by all means delete it there should be no reason for an AV company to email you unless you have first emailed their customer services or such like.

Anything that I don't recognise gets deleted without opening, if it looks really dodgy I select View Message Source this will give a text only format leaving you safer than opening a html style email which could contain several nasties.
