I've Dell Inspirion 1525 with a S.I.M.("Subscriber Identification Module" which is provided by cellular phone company ) slot which can used to connect to the network directly rather than using a net dongle or wired connections or wi-fi. Now I've Kubuntu 12.04 as o.s. on it. My concern is that system don't identify S.I.M. slot as anything . But my BIOS has option to switch the cellular network on or off ; otherwise o.s. is working fine. Any help?

Contact your cellular phone company, and ask them.

It may not be compatible with Linux.
