Is it possible to add a signature to our profiles that would show up in every post we make? This would be useful for everyone to put their system specs and that might help in diagnosing system problems.

Personally, I like the clean look of the posts in this forum. So many others are cluttered up with elaborate sigs even for a short post like "Me, too!" If I want to know more about someone, I look at their profile. The Geek has talked about adding some more fields to the profile. Maybe there will someday be a field where you can add a favorite quote or something personal like you would in a sig.
ScottW is correct, I plan to expand the profiles (in fact I'm actively working on it), so there will be places for those types of things (and more)
I am not going to add signatures, as I find them really annoying and they don't add any value to the discussions.
[edit]: I think the final product will make everybody happy... just have to be patient for a little while longer while I finish building everything.
I see the point of that but..i was thinking how about putting the name of the Operating system used by every user, so for example, if "jmcguire" posted something, you would read that he is a member and that he is running Vista Home Premium, or Windows XP SP2 or whatever!!!
i think i might post a topic about this..what do you think though?
