I'm assuming that's the only flashplayer there...disable it. Download and install this one:

If you still keep having crashes I use this chrome version which doesn't crash or at least hasn't yet!

My gut feeling is Google have messed up their version of Chrome up at the moment mucking about with embedded flashplayer functionality that's why I changed to Dragon.

Thank you, StringJunky...I noticed that the first link you posted has "firefox" in the url. Will it work for Chrome or should I just go with Comodo?

Is 'Dragon' a browser?

I would just go with Dragon. Yes it's Chrome with just some slight differences. Most of the add ons from the Chrome store should work with it as well or you should find one in there that works with it if you try one or two.

There is Cool Novo as well if you want to try that which is Chrome:

Apologies if this is not the appropriate place for this question ... I made the mistake of purchasing a Sony nsz-gs7 and among it's other drawbacks is the fact that Chrome is the only compatible web browser and I cannot get msnbc to run (in the lead-up to the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November) flash video to run for more than a couple of minutes before hanging. SONY 'Technical Support' was of no help whatsoever (and tried to fob me off with nonsense talk) when I asked for the technique required to get to the plugins as per advice given to others with this problem in this forum; i.e., where you can type 'about:plugins' in the address bar with Windows Chrome, it's not possible on the Android Honeycomb OS installed on the nsz-gs7. Is anyone able to explain, please, how the flash problem can be corrected for this Sony box marketed as an internet tv device?

I read the article on shockwave crashing on Chrome. I do not see a file like the one that is shown. the only flashplayer on the list is the adobe but the interior looks nothing like the scrn print. I am assuming then that this is not the correct one. First am I correct and if so any idea on how to fix the problem then? If i am not then I need to know what to do if I disable adobe do I have to re enable it as I have to use foxfire for my class.

Thank you

Hi iclanin

Save yourself a headache and get Comodo Dragon...it's Chrome without the crashing and you can import your bookmarks and settings from Chrome by clicking the Dragon icon > Settings > Users > Import Bookmarks and Settings > Choose Chrome from the dropdown list. You can run it beside G/Chrome so you'll lose nothing.

I was an avid user of Chrome but this one is much more reliable now and more secure...Chrome has a very common serious issue with flash now like you've got.
