Shared Desktop Problem

I have a new desktop and laptop both with Vista Home Premium. I am trying to set up my home desktop computer to be accessed remotely. I understand the instructions for setting it up in the control panel / systems window, but the "Remote" tab is incomplete - it only has the top portion dealing with "Remote Assistance"...but nothing below it for "Remote Desktop". I am totally lost because Vista says it is "Remote Desktop" ready...I can find no reference as to why I cannot set up a remote computer. Both laptop and desktop models have this problem, so I can't imagine it is unique.

The Vista Home editions don't come with Remote Desktop, I don't believe.

What you'll need to do is use vnc instead, which does a similar job of letting you share your desktop.
