I have an HP vista windows 7 computer and a Sharp LC60LE64ou Smart tv . The computer windows media player is set to share with other devises and the Sharp tv has a DNLA network photo JPEG, video MPEG2-PS, MPEG-TS, WMV, ASF, MP4, MOV, AVI . music LPCM, MP3, set up to share with the computer thru the wireless UBee cable box. When I turn on the Mediaplayer and the TV. The TV DlNA network says it can't find server. The fire wall is set not to block the device. Why can't it find the server ? Frank
Share computer with Smart TV(2 posts)
I recently set up a samsung tv to do what you want.
Even though WMP is supposed to stream it does not seem reliable ,in my experience.
That being said I would download a DNLA program to your PC
and use it to share files with the tv.
I used samsungs Allshare program for my set up just because it was a Samsung TV ,,,,,
but there are quite a few different DNLA server programs availiable for free download
if you look .
I would read some online reviews of server programs and then make your choice.
here is just one article/example of what to look for.
