Shadows and borders around windows

Hi,

I have an HP laptop with Windows Vista Home Premium installed, and i'm loving it. However, one thing that is driving me crazy is the giant window borders and shadows around them. I have changed the border size (thanks to this article: [http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/trim-windows-vistas-bloated-window-borders/])

However, the shadows around the windows are just plain hideous, and i was wondering if there was a way, through a registry hack or otherwise, to get rid of them, or at least to make them smaller?

Thanks in advance.

There are various visual settings in Start > Control Panel > System > Advanced System Settings > Performance, that may be of help

Thanks for your reply.

Do you know which one gets rid of the shadows though? Ive been playing around with a few of those settings to my liking but i didn't see one. Or am I just missing something here?

I just checked and it doesn't appear any of those settings disable the shadow.
I also did a Google search and couldn't find a to disable the shadow.
So far it doesn't appear there is a way to disable the shadow.

I don't think it's possible to do it easily with Aero, so I've put it on my list of things to do
