Hi kesom, it sounds like you need to install SATA drivers for your HDD to be recognized. Have a look here and scroll down to "UPDATE: I've heard complaints that some of the links are down. Here is a link with all of the drivers packed in one rar file." Once you have got the drivers you will have to slipstream the SATA driver into the XP installation. Matt

thanks for the quick reply, bit out of my depth i think,i've just downloaded the driver folder from the link you gave me,ta very much but i cant find the sata drivers in the folders,is it the network driver i need, guess,if so when i go into the network folder there's a .exe file sp36267 and a folder called intel with .exe files in it,is the fsp36267 the amd network driver and then the intel folder is the intel network drivers, another guess, thanks for your time :)

Hi kesom, it´s not the network driver you need, but let me have a look for you. I will download the pack and see what I can find. Matt

EDIT: Ok, sorry for giving you that link, I thought all of the drivers would have been in that package but they weren´t!! So, the driver you need is here, scroll down to Driver - Storage and download the Intel SATA AHCI Controller Driver.

Oh gawd, I knew this was going to happen, lol!! I´m not an expert in either XP nor nlite, and I don´t have an original XP sitting here so let me get hold of one tomorrow and give it a try and I´ll let you know about the results!! Sorry I can´t help straight away, but maybe someone else can help you until then. If not I´ll experiment tomorrow kesom.
